Beatrix Potter is known throughout the world for the genius of her illustrations and words. These stories of country life have remained childhood favourites for more than 100 years.

Born into a wealthy London family, Beatrix Potter became a passionate country woman and skilled farmer in the northern countryside, where her characters were brought vividly to life by the genius of her words and pictures. This is a story of her passions – her animals, the Lake District, the National Trust, countryside, her Herdwick sheep – and a story of how she  earned her much-deserved success with Peter Rabbit and friends.
