We're thrilled to introduce 'Cats at Home: 50 interiors & their fabulous felines' by @rachaelsmithphotographyltd – A gorgeously photographed gift book all about cats and the beautiful interiors of their homes.

Over many years photographing interiors, Rachael found herself repeatedly drawn to the feline residents she encountered along the way. What began as an occasional portrait evolved into a remarkable collection of images celebrating the unique relationship between cats and the homes they share.

'Cats at Home' is the results of several years spent capturing some of the country’s best interiors and, perhaps more importantly, the cats who call them home.

'There are plenty of book with pretty pictures of cats. But this book shows a glimpse into the homes that they inhabit and the wonderful funny stories that unfold around them. A book for both the Cat and Interior lover.' – Rachael Smith

'Cats at Home' is publishing on 12 November and is available to pre-order now from good booksellers, including www.batsfordbooks.com.

✨Are you in your lover era? We certainty are and we’re in LOVE with our new acquisition, ‘Ladies of Lore: female characters in folklore and mythology’ by writer Rosie Mahoney @rosie.mahoney_ !✨

See yourself reflected in ancient and fascinating tales of women from mythology and folklore as they fall in love, get revenge, play tricks and seek redemption.

Here, for the first time, folklorist Rosie Mahoney has organised the women of European mythology into the twelve Jungian archetypes. These archetypes, from the Lover, the Mother, the Child and the Trickster, reflect our collective human experience and show how these mythical women resonate with our modern society.

‘I’ve been fascinated by mythology, history, fantasy and science fiction for as long as I can remember, and thanks to my ability to hyperfixate, I have happily spent hours of my life reading and researching these worlds. The idea for this book grew from a deep reverence for ancient stories and the excitement of discovering recurring patterns within them. Jung’s archetypes illuminated a path to bringing these stories together, demonstrating the connection between our lives and those of people who lived hundreds, even thousands of years before us.’– Rosie Mahoney, Author

‘I’m delighted to be publishing Ladies of Lore, retold stories of the legendary women of European mythology organised by Jungian archetypes. Rosie Mahoney is a new voice in the modern folklore space and in her hands, each familiar story is fresh again, showing folklore as the living storytelling tradition that it is. Plus, when you’re done analysing your life through the star signs, why not consider which psychic season you might be in, whether that’s your Lover era or your Trickster season?’ – Lauren Whybrow, Commissioning Editor

Captivatingly written and beautifully illustrated, ‘Ladies of Lore publishes in April 2027. Pre-order your copy now! Available via www.batsfordbooks.com (Link in bio 🔗) or from all good bookshops.
