Java Bere is an artist and writer who grew up in a family full of creatives, moving between Scotland, London, rural France and Spain. Her work explores identity, the significance of collected objects and the practice of finding beauty and celebration in the everyday. Java hosts a podcast, ‘On the Irregular’, holding conversations with creatives about their irregular paths. Java works out of a studio in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, where she also hosts creative styling and art workshops.
