JOB VACANCY: PROJECT EDITOR

B.T. Batsford Ltd is a thriving independent publishing house based in central London. We are looking for an experienced Project Editor to work on our exciting list of illustrated non-fiction titles.

The position is part time, working three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday) in our offices in Bloomsbury, as part of a small, friendly editorial and design team. Responsibilities include:

• Seeing books through to print, on time and to budget
• Working closely with authors, illustrators and photographers
• Liaising with freelance copyeditors, designers, proofreaders and indexers
• Picture research
• Writing cover copy and sales material

We’re looking for a highly organised, creative person with two or more years’ experience in editorial project management. A background in craft, architecture, art and design publishing is preferable but not essential.
